Hydraulic reservoir drained (LO 9-2320-209-12-1). ● Hydraulic hoist propeller shaft removed (TM 9-2320-361-20). GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS ● Wear eye protection when working with hydraulic hoses. ● Wear eye protection when removing plugs. a. Removal WARNING Wear eye protection when working with hydraulic hoses. Fluid in hoses may be under pressure. Failure to wear eye protection may result in injury to personnel. NOTE . Have drainage container ready to catch hydraulic fluid. ● Assistant will help with step 1. 1. Remove six screws (7), lockwashers (6), pump (5), and gasket (4) from spacer (3). Discard lock- washers (6) and gasket (4). 2. Remove six screws (9), lockwashers (8), spacer (3), and gasket (2) from adapter (1). Discard gasket (2) and lockwashers (8). b. Installation WARNING Wear eye protection when removing plugs. Plugs are under spring tension and may spring out during removal. Failure to wear eye protection may result in injury to personnel. 1. Install new gasket (2) and spacer (3) on adapter (1) with six new lockwashers (8) and screws (9). NOTE Assistant will help with step 2. 2. Install new gasket (4) and pump (5) on spacer (3) with six new lockwashers (6) and screws (7). 16-70
