YES NO YES NO BATTERY TESTS (Contd) NG81 TK MODE MEASURE BATTERY RESISTANCE CHANGE • Dial 79 into TEST SELECT switches. • Does GO appear in display? 3 • Error message is displayed. • Refer to the error messages in WP 0016 00. • Correct as necessary and repeat test. • If display shows GO, there is a bad connection in starter circuit. Check cables and connections to starter and retest. If display still shows GO, then you may have a defective battery in the series pair being tested. Test other battery in the pair. • Proceed to next page. • Press starter switch until OFF appears on display. • Wait for display to change. • Is a number displayed? • If display shows. 9.9.9.9, there may be a bad connection on battery being tested. Clean and tighten connections on battery and retest. • If display shows E013, four dashes, or .9.9.9.9, the battery being tested may be in a discharged state. Check battery electrolyte level, charge battery and then retest. PROMPTING MESSAGE PROMPTING MESSAGE NOTE After completing repair, rerun GO Chain tests (WP 0017 00) to verify that problem is fixed and no other problems exist. • If display shows E013, four dashes, or .9.9.9.9 after battery has been charged, replace battery (WP 0127 00).
