STARTER CIRCUIT TESTS (Contd) NG80 TK MODE STARTER NEGATIVE VOLTAGE DROP: • Move red clip lead of test probe cable to ground terminal of starter motor. • Dial 89 into TEST SELECT switches and press TEST. • Crank engine and observe displayed voltage. • Is voltage drop less than 0.2 volts? 9 • Proceed to Battery Compartment–Negative Side–Voltage Drop Checks, NG 121. NO YES TEST NO. TEST 67 89 BATTERY VOLTAGE 0–45 VOLTS DC NG121 • Replace starter motor (WP 0088 00). • Proceed to next page. NOTE After completing repair, rerun GO Chain tests (WP 0017 00) to verify that problem is fixed and no other problems exist.
