STE/ICE-R No-Go Chain Test (Contd). NOTE Test GO 1 (WP 0017 00), VTM Connections and Checkout, must be performed before running any other STE/ICE-R test. NO CRANK—NO START NG20 TK MODE TRY TO CRANK ENGINE: • Set vehicle controls to crank engine. • Press starter switch and listen to starter motor. • Does starter motor sound like it is running overspeed? 1 • Proceed to step 2. • Sound is buzz, hum, click etc. or there is no sound. Proceed to Starter Circuit Tests, NG 80. NG80 NO YES CHECK TEETH ON FLYWHEEL: • Remove starter motor (WP 0088 00). • Check for missing and/or damaged teeth on flywheel. • Are all teeth good? 2 YES NO Replace flywheel (WP 0029 00). • Replace starter motor and solenoid (WP 0088 00). NOTE After completing repair, rerun GO Chain tests (WP 0017 00) to verify that the problem is fixed and no other problems exist.
