PROMPTING MESSAGE • Stop engine immediately. • Refer to vehicle lubrication order (WP 0020 00) to check oil type and replace oil filters. • If reading is still bad, refer to Mechanical Systems Troubleshooting Index (WP 0007 00) to diagnose engine. • Proceed to Gauge Test, NG 31. NO YES NG31 NORMAL OIL PRESSURE AND MAXIMUM RPM 50–60 PSI @ 2600–2850 RPM CHECK OIL PRESSURE: • Dial 01 into TEST SELECT switches and press TEST. • When PASS appears, dial 50 into TEST SELECT switches and press TEST. VTM will now display RPM and oil pressure alternately. • Start vehicle engine (TM 9-2320-361-10) and hold RPM at speed indicated in table below. • Check the VTM display for correct oil pressure. • Is oil pressure within limits? 2 NOTE After completing repair, rerun the GO Chain tests (WP 0017 00) to verify that problem is fixed and no other problem exists.
