Fuel tanks drained (TM 9-2320-361-10). GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Keep fire extinguisher nearby when working on fuel tank trucks. WARNING Do not perform this procedure while smoking or within 50 feet of sparks or open flame. Fuel is flammable and can explode easily, causing injury or death to personnel and damage to equipment. a. Removal Remove four screws (2), nuts (5), two couplings (3), filter separator-to-pump pipe (1), and two gaskets (6) from sump valve housing (4) and filter separator (7). Discard gaskets (6). b. Installation Install two new gaskets (6) and filter separator-to-sump pipe (1) on sump valve housing (4) and filter separator (7) with two couplings (3), four screws (2), and nuts (5).
