Do not tighten clamp (13). Install new gasket (10) and flex tube (17) on elbow (11) with coupling (16), screw (9), and new locknut (15). Install new gasket (25) and Y-pipe (31) on flex tube (17) with coupling (23), screw (22), and new locknut (24). Install clamp (28) and Y-pipe (31) on bracket (27) with washer (29), screw (30), washer (26), and new locknut (21). Install two cover plates (20) on fender (34) with two washers (35), screws (36), washers (33), and new locknuts (32). Tighten clamp (13) on elbow (11). Install U-bolt (37) and clamp (19) on Y-pipe (31) and bracket (7) with two new lockwashers (18) and nuts (8). Install exhaust shield (38) on Y-pipe (31) with two clamps (5), four screws (39), and new locknuts (6). Install new gasket (42) and exhaust pipe (3) on Y-pipe (31) with coupling (41), screw (40), and new locknut (4). Install exhaust stack shutoff (1) on exhaust pipe (3) with screw (2) and new locknut (43). Do not tighten locknut (43). Position exhaust stack shutoff (1) so exhaust gases are directed away from and toward rear of vehicle at approximately a 45° angle. Tighten locknut (43) on exhaust stack shutoff (1). 3-90
