If vehicle load is excessive, adjust to capacity limit. Step 2. Check for loose inner wheel adapter nuts or loose lugnuts (malfunction 33, step 3). a. If inner wheel adapter nuts are loose, tighten 400-425 lb-ft (542-576 N·m). b. If lugnuts are loose, tighten 325-355 lb-ft (441-481 N·m). 2-38
