Check that upper leg (1), lower leg (2), shoe (3), pin (4), and latch (5) have no cracks, bends or broken welds. Refer to TM 9-237 for welding procedures. 2. Check that trunnion tube (6) and pin (7) are not worn or damaged. If parts are damaged or worn, get new ones in their place. 3. Check that all nuts (8) and bolts (9) have no damaged threads or heads.
