c. Cleaning. TM 9-2320-209-34-2-1 WARNING Do not use a wire brush or compressed air to clean brake drums. There may be asbestos dust on brake drums which can be dangerous to your health if you breathe it in. Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near an open flame. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when solvent is used. Use only in well- ventilated places. Failure to do this may result in injury to personnel and damage to equipment. (1) Clean dirt and grease from all parts with dry cleaning solvent. 11-19 (2) Clean all parts with water to take off dirt and mud.
