NOTE Some oil pumps use a threaded cap to retain the parts of the pressure relief valve. Some oil pumps use a re- taining spring pin and spring retainer or spacer. If a spring retainer copper spacer is used, throw the old spacer away and get a new one. If a threaded cap is used, do step 2. If a retaining spring pin is used, get a new pin and do step 3. 2.
