TM 9-2320-209-20-3-2 FRAME 4 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Put end of handbrake cable (1) through lever assembly (2). Screw nut (3) on end of handbrake cable (1). Hook end of spring (4) on lever (2). Using 5/16-inch wrench, hold nut (5). Using 3/4-inch wrench, tighten nut (3). Hook end of spring (6) in hole (7). Hook other end of spring on adjusting screw (8). Using 5/8-inch wrench, turn in adjusting screw (8) until spring (6) has tension. Using 1 1/16-inch wrench, tighten jamnut (9). Using 7/16-inch wrench, screw in and tighten grease fitting (10). NOTE Follow-on Maintenance Action Required: Adjust handbrake lever linkage. Refer to para 13-7. END OF TASK 13-17
