TOOLS: 15/16-inch wrench SUPPLIES: Sealer compound, type II, MIL-S-45180 PERSONNEL: One EQUIPMENT CONDITION: Truck parked, engine off, handbrake set. a. Preliminary Procedures. (1) Open hood and right side panel. Refer to TM 9-2320-209-10. (2) Drain cooling system (eight quarts) to drop coolant level below engine intake manifold. Refer to para 6-10. (3) Disconnect battery ground cable. Refer to para 7-58. CAUTION Make sure ACCESSORY switch is set to OFF position while doing this procedure to pre- vent electrical damage. b. Removal. FRAME 1 1. Take connector (1) off water temperature transmitter (2). 2. Using 15/16-inch wrench, unscrew water temperature transmitter (2) from intake manifold (3). END OF TASK 7-181
