This appendix lists expendable supplies and materials you will need to operate and maintain the 2 l/2-ton, 6 x 6, M44A1 and M44A2 series trucks (multifuel). These items are authorized by CTA 50-970, Expendable Items (Except Medical, Class V, Repair Parts, and Heraldic Items). D-2. EXPLANATION OF COLUMNS. a. b. c. d. e. Column 1 - Item number. This number is given to the entry in the listing. Column 2- Level. This is the lowest level of maintenance that needs the listed item. C - Operator/Crew O - Organizational Maintenance Column 3 - National Stock Number. This is the National Stock Number given to the item; use it to order the item. Column 4 - Description. Shows the Federal Item Name and, if needed, a description to give more details about the item. The last line for each item shows the part number, followed by the Federal Supply Code for Manufacturer (FSCM) in brackets, if it applies. Column 5 - Unit of Measure (U/M). Shows the measure used in doing the actual maintenance function. This measure is shown by an alphabetical abbreviation (es, in. qt). If the unit of measure is different from the unit of issue, order the lowest unit of issue that will give you what you need. D-1
