TM 9-2920-257-30&P CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION Section I. GENERAL 1-1. SCOPE This manual provides instructions for repairing and testing the 200-ampere generators, PN 2260AC, NSN 2920-01-147- 1575, PN A0012266AA, NSN 2920-01-238-9710, PN N1205, NSN 2920-01-298-8072, and PN N1206, NSN 2920-01-292- 2993. Throughout this manual the generators will be referred to by part number. 1-2. REPORTING EQUIPMENT IMPROVEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS (EIR) If equipment needs improving, let us know. Send us an EIR. You, the user, are the only one who can tell us what you don't like about your equipment. Let us know why you don't like the design. Put it on an SF368 (Quality Deficiency Report). Mail it to Commander, U. S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command, Attn: AMSTA-IM-OP, Warren, MI 48397-5000. We'll send you a reply. Section II. SPECIAL TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT 1-3. FABRICATED TOOLS Generator disassembly and assembly requires the use of fabricated tools. See Appendix F for materials and dimensions required to fabricate the necessary tools. Fabricate special wiring harnesses to test generators on the test stand, see Appendix F. 1-4.
