TEST AND INSPECTION - Continued 12. Monitor afterglow period as follows: a. Push glow plug switch (Figure 6, Item 44) momentarily and wait until wait lamp (Figure 6, Item 41) flashes. Push starter switch (Figure 6, Item 45), hold for approximately 5 sec, and release. Wait lamp and glow plug indicator lamps (Figure 6, Item 42) should remain on. b. Using stop watch, record time wait lamp (Figure 6, Item 41) remains continuously lit following flashing of standby period. Proper time is 58 to 62 sec until wait lamp and glow plug indicator lamps (Figure 6, Item 42) should go out. 13.
