TM 9-2520-272-40 0068 REMOVE ADAPTER PLATE FROM MAINTENANCE STAND WARNING Check slings and trestle for cuts, breaks, or wear before and during hoisting. Slings and trestle can break and cause injury or death. Adapter plate weighs 127 lb (57.6 kg). Lift plate with hoist and trestle to avoid injury. 1. Install eyebolt (Figure 2, Item 1) in threaded hole at end of adapter plate (Figure 2, Item 2). 2. Attach sling hook of engine and transmission sling in eyebolt (Figure 2, Item 1) and, using hoist and trestle, raise sling until cable is tight. 3. Remove six 5/8-11 x 3 inch bolts (Figure 2, Item 5) and six washers (Figure 2, Item 4) from maintenance stand (Figure 2, Item 3). 4. Remove adapter plate (Figure 2, Item 2). 5.
