Install the clutch backing plate so that these two balance marks are aligned, as shown in Figure 18. 17.Install the clutch backing plate (Figure 19, Item 11) on the torque converter turbine assembly (Figure 19, Item 14) and on the converter pump assembly (Figure 19, Item 17) studs so that the balance marks align.
