TM 9-2520-238-34 REPAIR SINGLE DISK PIVOT STEER BRAKE ASSEMBLY — Continued 0030 00 DISASSEMBLY WARNING Parts of the brake assembly may be coated with asbestos dust. Breathing this dust can harm personnel. Use a filter mask approved for use against asbestos dust. Never use compressed air or dry brush to clean these assemblies. Use an industrial type vacuum cleaner with a high-efficiency filter system to remove dust. Use water and a soft bristle brush or cloth to remove dirt or mud. 1. Remove release unit piston (1) with attached brake lining (2) from brake housing (3) using an arbor press. Remove packing (4) from piston. Discard packing. 0030 00-2
