Make sure to get an assistant or use a lifting device to move heavy objects. C A U T I O N Take care to prevent damage to machined surfaces, gears, bearings, and other components during maintenance activities. 1. Lift transfer gearcase A, B, or C using suitable hoist and beam type sling, through eye bolt (1) and place gearcase in 2. Remove oil drain plug (2) and packing (3) from housing (4). Drain oil from housing into a suitable container. Discard packing. 3. Remove eye bolt (1) from housing (4). 0017 00-2 work station. Remove sling and hoist from eyebolt.
