FIRST AID For first aid information, see FM 4-25.11. For hazardous materials, refer to the label and/or Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). EXPLANATION OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ICONS HAZARDOUS MATERIALS WARNINGS EXPLOSION – Rapidly expanding symbol shows that the material may explode if subjected to high temperatures, sources of ignition or high pressure. EYE PROTECTION – Person with goggles shows that the material will injure the eyes. FIRE – Flame shows that a material may ignite and cause burns. VAPOR – Human figure in a cloud shows that material vapors present a danger or life or health. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS DESCRIPTION WARNING EXPLOSION Improper disposal of magnesium can cause a fire or explosion. Do not expose magnesium to high temperatures. Let magnesium dry before placing in sealed metal containers. Label containers and ship to a Class 1 hazardous waste disposal site. Fuel fumes can explode and burn you. Before welding: Drain all fuel.
