Figure 1. Track Tension Adjuster – Removal. END OF TASK INSPECT AND REPAIR 1. Check threads of plunger (Figure 2, Item 8) and piston (Figure 2, Item 2). Chase damaged threads with a die. Replace parts as a matched set if the threads of either part are stripped or worn. 2. Check machined surfaces of piston (Figure 2, Item 2) and plunger (Figure 2, Item 8). Remove grooves and scratches. Replace parts that have deep grooves and scratches or are worn. Figure 2. Inspection/Repair. 3. Check parts shown in Table 1, page 0017-5 that have reference letters. 4.
