INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0926 00, Item 65) Lead Seal Hand Press (WP 0926 00, Item 34) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Seal wire P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic R e f e r e n c e s See your -10 E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) External handle shield removed (WP 0901 00), (WP 0902 00), or (WP 0903 00) REMOVAL 1. Loosen captive nut (1) on control valve (2). Remove valve from fire extinguisher cylinder (3). NOTE There are two types of control valves. Remove and install both valves same way. M58 vehicle has two fixed fire extinguishers. 2. Pull external handle (4) to break seal wire (5). Remove wire from handle and support bracket (6). Discard wire. 3. Remove insert (7) from handle (4). 0904 00-1
