TM 9-2350-277-20-6 REPLACE FIXED FIRE EXTINGUISHER CYLINDER AND MOUNT — Continued 0898 00 INSTALLATION NOTE The carbon dioxide (CO2 )cylinder has a 5-pound (2 kg) capacity with a maximum weight of 18 pounds (8 kg). Weigh cylinder before installation. If weight loss is more than 10 percent (2 pounds) (1 kg), replace cylinder with a fully charged one. 1. If removed, install four bumpers (5) in hull brackets. 2. Place two clamps (2) on hull brackets. Secure with four pins (4) and new cotter pins (3). 3. Hold cylinder (1) on hull brackets. Secure with two clamps (2). TIGHTEN CLAMPS TO 51-59 LB-IN (5-6 N m) TORQUE. FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Install discharge tube on cylinder (WP 0899 00). 2. Install control valve (WP 0904 00). END OF TASK 0898 00-4 Change 1
