TM 9-2350-277-20-5 INSTALL TOW PINTLE EXTENDER KIT (M113A3 ONLY) — Continued 0811 01 6. Install washer (2) to shank of pintle body. Insert pintle body (3) through extender assembly bracket (1). Install spacer (4) and nut (5) (removed in Step 1). TORQUE NUT TO 60–180 LB-IN (7–20 N•m) and secure with cotter pin (6). Use torque wrench (WP 0926 00, Item 83). After installation, pintle must be loose enough to be rotated manually. ADJUSTMENT 1. After 50 miles of towing operation repeat step (5). Use torque wrench (WP 0926 00, Item 86) and torque wrench set (WP 0926 00, Item 73). STOW 1. After towing operation is complete, put extender assembly (2) in stowed position by removing linchpin (1) and hitch pin (3). Rotate pintle and bracket assembly into downward position and reinstall hitch pin and linchpin. END OF TASK 0811 01-3/4 blank Change 1
