INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0926 00, Item 65) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Grommet Lockwasher (23) Straps (as required) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic R e f e r e n c e s See your -10 TM 3-6680-316-10 E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Battery ground strap disconnected (WP 0337 00) REMOVAL 1. Loosen clamp (1) and remove hose (2) from connector (3) and adapter (4) on operator’s heater (5). 2. If damaged, remove adapter (4) from operator’s heater (5). 3. Remove four screws (6), lockwashers (7), and two brackets (8) from top plate. Discard lockwashers. 4. Remove three screws (9), lockwashers (10), and clamps (11) from top plate. Remove clamps from operator’s inlet hose (12). Discard lockwashers. 5. Cut straps (13) that secure lead 537D (14) to operator’s inlet hose (12). Discard straps. 6. Loosen clamp (15) and remove operator’s inlet hose (12) from adapter (16) on operator’s heater (5). 7. If damaged, remove adapter (16) from operator’s heater (5). 0788 00-1
