Use precautions when handling filters (see FM 21-40). Dispose of filters using trained chemical environment personnel. 1. Disconnect power cable (1) from air purifier (2). NOTE To replace the ground lead, the mounting hardware securing the driver’s heater to the welded frame needs to be removed. 2. Remove screw (3), lockwasher (4), and ground lead (5) from air purifier wiring harness connector (2). Install screw back into connector. Discard lockwasher. 3. If ground lead needs to be replaced, remove screw (6), three ground leads (5), lockwasher (7), washer (8), lockwasher (9), and nut (10) securing driver’s heater under welded frame (11). discard lockwashers. 4. Disconnect two hoses (12) from air purifier (2). 5. Unfasten latch (13) and lift air purifier (2) from frame assembly (14). 6. Remove five screws (15), lockwashers (16), washers (17), nuts (18), and frame assembly (14) from five mounts (19) and (20). Discard lockwashers. 7. Remove 16 screws (21), 32 washers (22), 16 lockwashers (23), nuts (24), and four mounts (19) from welded frame (11). Discard locknuts. 0775 00-1
