TM 9-2350-277-20-5 REPLACE/REPAIR SMOKE GENERATOR FUEL FILTER/WATER SEPARATOR (M1059A3 ONLY) — Continued 0773 00 3. Remove two screws (6), nuts (7), washers (8), lockwashers (9), and fuel filter/water separator (3) from armor shield (10). Discard lockwashers. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT 1. Remove two adapters (1) and plugs (2) from filter head (3). 2. Remove filter head (3) and filter element body (4). 3. Remove sediment bowl (5) from filter element body (4). Discard filter element. 4. Remove gasket (6) from sediment bowl (5). Discard gasket. 5. Coat new gasket (6) with a small amount of fluid from filter head (3). Install gasket (6) on sediment bowl (5). 6. Install sediment bowl (5) on new filter element body (4). 7. Coat threaded part on top of filter element body (4) and install on filter head (3) 0773 00-2
