TM 9-2350-277-20-5 INSTALL ARMOR KIT (M113A3 ONLY) — Continued 0748 00 35. Raise power plant door (10) 120-130 degrees from closed position. 36. Attach lifting device to door lifting eye (11). WARNING Power plant door contains a torsion spring assembly which could cause injury or death to personnel. Door must be raised to neutral position before removing two screws from housing. 37. Remove two screws (12), washers (13), and lockwashers (14) from housing (15). Save lockwashers. 38. Rotate housing (15) toward top of carrier (counterclockwise) until second set of screw holes are aligned. 39. Install two screws (12), washers (13), and lockwashers (14) in housing (15). Remove lifting device and lower power plant door (10). 40. Install armor plate (2) on power plant door (10) with four screws (16) and washers (17). 0748 00-8 Change 3
