TM 9-2350-277-20-5 INSTALL ARMOR KIT (M113A3 ONLY) — Continued 0748 00 1. Remove four screws (1), washers (2) and (3), nuts (4) and two foot cables (5) from left side of carrier. 2. Remove 34 protective plugs (6) from mounting holes in hull. 3. Attach upper side plate (7) to carrier with four screws (8) and washers (9). 4. Install lower side plate (10) to carrier with two screws (11) and washers (12). 5. Install six side plates (13) to carrier by attaching hooks on back of plates to footman loops (14). Secure plates to carrier with 24 screws (15) and washers (16). 6. Install two foot cables (5) on side plates (10) and (13) with two screws (1), washers (2) and (3), and two nuts (4). 7. Install stowage box (17) on rear of carrier with four screws (18) and washers (19). 8. Repeat Steps 1 - 7 for other side of carrier. 0748 00-2 Change 3
