TM 9-2350-277-20-5 REPLACE ENGINE BLOCK FITTING AND HARDWARE — Continued 0717 00 INSTALLATION 1. Apply light coat of sealing compound to external threads of elbow (1) and drain cock (2). Do not apply sealing compound beyond small end of tapered threads. 2. Install new gasket (3) and fitting (4) on engine block and secure with two screws (5) and new lockwashers (6). 3. Install elbow (1) and drain cock (2) on fitting (4). 4. Secure hose (7) with two clamps (8), screw (9), two washers (10), and nut (11). 5. Connect hose (7) to elbow (1) and secure with clamp (12). FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Lower power plant grill (WP 0464 00). 2. Fill coolant heater cooling system (WP 0710 00). 3. Start coolant heater (see your -10). 4. Check for leaks. Turn coolant heater off (see your -10). 5. Install drivers compartment access panel (see your -10). 6. Install power plant rear access panel (see your -10). END OF TASK 0717 00-3/4 blank
