TM 9-2350-277-20-5 REPLACE PERSONNEL HEATER FUEL FILTER, HOSES, AND FITTINGS (M1064A3 ONLY) — Continued 0688 00 INSTALLATION 1. Apply light coat of sealing compound to all external tapered threads. Do not apply sealant beyond small end of external tapered threads. 2. Install plug (11), plug (8), and new packings (3) in ports 1 and 4 of fuel filter (4). NOTE Flareless (compression) fittings are used on the fuel lines. When these fittings are first installed, a sleeve is crimped on the tube or hose end. Consequently, when tubes or hoses are replaced, new fitting sleeves are also required. 3. Install two elbows (9) or (2) and new packings (3) in ports 2 and 3 of fuel filter (4). 4. Install fuel filter (4) on sponson and secure with two screws (7), new lockwashers (6), and washers (5). 0688 00-5
