TM 9-2350-277-20-5 REPLACE BULKHEAD CONNECTION TO PERSONNEL HEATER TUBE (M577A3 AND M1068A3 ONLY) — Continued 0687 00 INSTALLATION 1. Apply light coat of sealing compound to all external tapered threads. Do not apply sealant beyond small end of external tapered threads. NOTE Flareless (compression) fittings are used on the fuel lines. When these fittings are first installed, a sleeve is crimped on the tube or hose end. Consequently, when tubes or hoses are replaced, new fitting sleeves are also required. 2. Install elbow (1) in heater. 3. Install adapter (2) on elbow (1). 4. Install nipple (3) in power plant compartment bulkhead. Secure with jamnut (4). 5. Install fuel hose (5) on nipple (3) and adapter (2). 6. Install nipple (6) in hull. Secure with jamnut (7). 7. Install tube (8) on nipples (3) and. Tighten two nuts (9). 8. Install clamp (10) on tube (8). Align clamp (10) with bulkhead weldnut. Secure with screw (11). 9. Install fuel hose (12) on nipple (6). 0687 00-3
