INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0926 00, Item 65) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Wiping rag (WP 0928 00, Item 65) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic R e f e r e n c e s See your -10 E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Ramp lowered (see your -10) Rear floor plate removed (WP 0539 00), (WP 0540 00), (WP 0541 00), (WP 0542 00), (WP 0543 00), (WP 0544 00), or(WP 0545 00) SERVICING BLEED AIR FROM SYSTEM 1. Turn on main fuel valves (see your -10). 2. Turn on heater fuel shut-off valve (see your -10). WARNING Diesel fuel can catch fire and seriously injure or kill soldiers and damage or destroy the vehicle. Wipe up fuel spills immediately. Do not smoke near fuel or when working on the fuel system. Disconnect vehicle ground when working on the fuel system. 3. Loosen fuel inlet line (1) at tee fitting on fuel pump (2). Tighten connection as soon as fuel begins to escape from line. 0679 00-1
