INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0926 00, Item 65) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Locknut (8) Lockwasher (13) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic R e f e r e n c e s See your -10 E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Ramp lowered (see your -10) Radio and mount removed (WP 0890 00) REMOVAL 1. Remove locknut (1), lockwasher (2), washer (3), hanger (4), and screw (5) from top plate crossmember. Discard locknut and lockwasher. 2. Remove locknut (6), two lockwashers (7), hanger (8), and screw (9) from top plate lug. Discard locknut and lockwashers. 3. Remove two locknuts (10), four lockwashers (11), two hangers (4)(8), and two screws (12) from rack (13). Discard locknuts and lockwashers. 4. Remove four locknuts (14), eight lockwashers (15), four screws (16), and rack (13) from bulkhead lugs. Discard locknuts and lockwashers. INSTALLATION 1. Align rack (13) with bulkhead lugs. Secure with four screws (16), eight new lockwashers (15), and four new locknuts (14). 2. Align two hangers (4)(8) with rack (13). Secure with two screws (12), four new lockwashers (11), and two new locknuts (10). 3. Align hanger (8) with top plate lug. Secure with screw (9), two new lockwashers (7), and new locknut (6). 4. Align hanger (4) with top plate crossmember. Secure with screw (5), new lockwasher (2), washer (3), and new locknut (1). 0609 00-1
