TM 9-2350-277-20-4 REPAIR DRIVER’S SEAT POST ASSEMBLY — Continued 0557 00 ASSEMBLY 1. Place crank (18) in adjuster (5) and install cam (17). Secure with two new spring pins (16). 2. Align spring (19) and two washers (22) with holes of stiffener (24) and adjuster (5). 3. Install new spring pin (20) in hole closest to end of stop pin (21). Install two washers (22) on stop pin from other end and push up against spring pin. Slide stop pin through slot in cam (17), hole in housing, and spring (20), washer (23), and into hole in stiffener (24). 4. Compress spring (19) against wall of adjuster (5) and install new spring pin (20) outboard of washers (22). Check operation of crank (18) and stop pin. 5. Install four rollers (15) on shaft of adjuster (5) and secure with four snap rings (14). 6. Install two springs (1) on spool (2) and install on top of adjuster (3). Install pin (4) through spool. Secure with new cotter pin (5) and two washers (6). 7. Pry out two springs (1) and route under upper roller shaft. Extend springs 2 to 3 inches beyond roller shaft. 8. Install spring cover (7) on adjuster (3). Secure with one screw (8) and washer (9). 9. Place lower roller (10) inside top of post (11). Raise crank (12) and slide adjuster (3) down into post until holes in post line up with holes in springs (1). 0557 00-4
