TM 9-2350-277-20-4 ADJUST RAMP LOCK (M1064A3 ONLY) — Continued 0523 00 15. Add or remove flat steel washers (1) between ramp trip plates (2) and hull top plate. Use same number of washers as shims on each side of trip plate. Install two new lockwashers (3) and screws (4) in trip plate (2). Do not tighten screws at this time. 16. Measure distance between trip plates (2) and latch (5). It should be 1/16 inch (2 mm) maximum. Add or delete flat steel washers (1) until this clearance is obtained. 17. Start engine (see your -10). 18. Raise and lock ramp (see your -10). 19. Stop engine (see your -10). 20. Check both trip plates (2) to see that they bear against top of latches (5). 21. Check that latch (5) and catch (6) are firm and flush against each other. 22. Lower ramp (see your -10). Adjust trip plates (2). Slide plates forward or rearward until latches (5) open, both at the same time, when ramp lock lever is pulled all the way to the rear. Latches (5) should raise up to clear catch. Tighten two screws (4). 23. If latches (5) do not raise when trip plates (2) are adjusted correctly, replace spring (7) (WP 0528 00). 0523 00-5
