TM 9-2350-277-20-4 REPLACE MORTAR HATCH COVERS (M1064A3 ONLY) — Continued 0482 00 REMOVAL WARNING Mortar hatch sections must be in a vertical position to release torsion spring tension before removing torsion spring brackets. NOTE There are three mortar hatch sections. Remove and install all three the same way. Left section is shown. 1. Remove two screws (1), washers (2), bracket (3), and spacers (4) from hull top plate. 2. Support door (5). Remove two springs (6), shield (7), two spacers (8), and door from hinges (9) and (10). Remove six springs from shield for right door section. 3. Remove four screws (11), washers (12), two hinges (9)(10), and spacers (13) from hull top plate. 4. Remove two seals (14) from door (5). Discard seal. 5. Remove two seals (1) and two seals (2) from center door. Discard seals. 6. Remove canvas strap (3) from door (4). 0482 00-2
