TM 9-2350-277-20-4 REPLACE MORTAR HATCH INTERIOR RELEASE MECHANISMS (M1064A3 ONLY) — Continued 0481 00 INSTALLATION 1. Apply caulking compound to surfaces of strikes (1) that contact seal ledge. 2. Place spacer(s) (2) and two strikes (1) on hull top plate. Secure with four new lockwashers (3) and screws (4). 3. Place eight washers (5) and two brackets (6) on cover section (7). Secure with eight new lockwashers (8) and screws (9). Do not tighten screws. 4. Install two tee head bolts (10) and springs (11) on brackets (6). Secure with four nuts (12). NOTE Inner chain and tube are longer than outside chains and tubes. Check lengths of chains and tubes before installation. 5. Install tube (13) and two clevises (14) on chain (15). Secure clevises to tee head bolts (10) with headed pins (16) and new cotter pins (17). 0481 00-3
