TM 9-2350-277-20-4 REPLACE MORTAR HATCH EXTERIOR CATCHES AND BUMPERS (M1064A3 ONLY) — Continued 0480 00 INSTALLATION NOTE Shim(s) are installed between bumper and hull bracket to remove all end play between cover and bumper. 1. Install shim(s) (8) and bumper (7) on hull bracket. Secure with two washers (6) and new locknuts (5). 2. Place catch (3) on door section (4). Secure with four new lockwashers (2) and screws (1). Do not torque screws at this time. NOTE Latch bolt bracket for center door section is mounted on right door section. Bracket for right door section does not have spacers installed. 3. Place latch bolt bracket (9) and two spacers (10) on hull top plate. Secure with new lockwashers (11) and four screws (12). Do not tighten screws at this time. 4. Install spring (13) and tee head bolt (14) on latch bolt bracket (9). Secure with two nuts (15). 5. Install arm (16) through hole in hull top plate. Install washer (17), spring (18), and handle (19) on arm. Secure with new spring pin (20). 6. Install two clevises (21) on chain (22). Secure clevises to arm (16) and tee head bolt (14) with two headed pins (23) and new cotter pins (24). 0480 00-4
