TM 9-2350-277-20-4 REPLACE CARGO HATCH COVER (M113A3 AND M1059A3 ONLY) — Continued 0479 00 INSTALLATION 1. Install screw (1) in cover (2). Secure with new locknut (3). 2. Place shim(s) (4) and bracket (5) on hull top plate. Secure with two washers (6) and screws (7). TIGHTEN SCREWS TO 60-65 LB-FT (81-88 N•m) TORQUE. 3. Align cover (2) with hinge brackets. Install two fiber washers (8) and shield (9). 4. Apply coat of grease to each spring (10). Install 10 springs in shield (9). 5. Place cover (2) in vertical position. Install shim(s) (11) and bracket (12). Secure with two washers (13) and screws (14). TIGHTEN SCREWS TO 60-65 LB-FT (81-88 N•m) TORQUE. FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Install cargo hatch interior latch (WP 0475 00). 2. Install cargo hatch spall liner (M113A3 only) (WP 0509 00). 3. Adjust latch (WP 0475 00). 4. Close cover. Check that cargo hatch cover is installed correctly. END OF TASK 0479 00-3/4 blank Change 2
