TM 9-2350-277-20-4 REPLACE CARGO HATCH HOLD-OPEN HOOK AND BUMPERS (M113A3 AND M1059A3 ONLY) — Continued 0474 00 INSTALLATION 1. Align hook (1), two spacers (2), spring (3), and two washers (4) with hull bracket. Secure with screw (5) and new locknut (6). NOTE Install washer(s), as needed, to compress left bumper 3/16 to 5/16 inch (5-8 mm) and right bumper 1/16 to 1/4 inch (2-6 mm) when hold-open hook is engaged. 2. Install washer(s) (7) and two bumpers (8) in hull brackets. Secure with two washers (9) and new locknuts (10). 3. Place block (11) on hull bracket (12). Secure with two screws (13), four washers (14), and two new locknuts (15). 4. Install hook (16) in safety pin (17) and chain (18). Squeeze both ends of hook to secure. 5. Install tube (19) on chain (18). 6. Install hook (20) on chain (18) and hull bracket. Squeeze both ends of hook to secure. FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Open cargo hatch cover and engage hook to check that hook and bumper are installed correctly. END OF TASK 0474 00-3/4 blank Change 2
