INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0926 00, Item 65) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Cotter pin Locknut Packing Seal P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Power plant door removed from carrier (WP 0470 00) or (WP 0471 00) DISASSEMBLY 1. Remove vehicular leaf pins (1) and shield (2) from door (3). 2. Remove locknut (4), screw (5), and brace (6) from door (3). Discard locknut. 3. Remove cotter pin (7), nut (8), catch (9), and washer (10) from handle (11). Discard cotter pin. 4. Remove handle (11), washer (12), packing (13), and key (14) from door (3). Discard packing. 5. Remove screw (15) and nut (16) from door (3). NOTE Do Removal Step 6 and Installation Step 1 only if door seal is damaged. 6. Bend back door seal support and remove seal (17) from door (3). Discard seal. 0472 00-1
