TM 9-2350-277-20-3 REPLACE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSES, FITTINGS, AND MOUNTING — Continued 0399 00 15. Lubricate new preformed packing (10) with a thin coat of petrolatum. Install packing and elbow (11) in right end cover (12). Verify proper alignment of elbow. TIGHTEN LOCKNUT (13) TO 159-175LB-FT (216-237 N m) TORQUE. NOTE Do Step 16 and Step 17 only for transmissions equipped with an adapter for elbow (11). 16. Lubricate new preformed packing (10) with a thin coat of petrolatum. Install packing and adapter (14) in right end cover (12). TIGHTEN ADAPTER TO 127-140 LB-FT (172-190 N m) TORQUE. 17. Install elbow (11) on adapter (14). Hold adapter. TIGHTEN ELBOW TO 160-182 LB-FT (217-247 N.m) TORQUE. 18. Place new gasket (15) and top cover (16) on transmission (17). 0399 00-10
