TM 9-2350-277-20-3 ADJUST VOLTAGE REGULATOR — Continued 0256 00 C A U T I O N Battery can get overcharged and explode if the charging volts exceed 29. Adjust voltage regulator to 29 volts. NOTE Do not force adjusting screw past stop. If regulator cannot be adjusted, replace bad regulator (WP 0257 00). Use insulated cross-tip screw driver #1 to adjust voltage. 7. With engine operating at 900 to 1100 rpm, turn adjusting screw (1) in regulator (2) until proper voltage reading is achieved. 90 and above: 27 V dc 50 thru 89 : 28 V dc 49 and below: 29 V dc 8.
