TM 9-2350-277-20-3 REPLACE BATTERY LEADS AND TERMINALS (RIGHT SIDE) (M1064A3 ONLY) — Continued 0344 00 INSTALLATION C A U T I O N Battery cells can be damaged if the batteries are hooked up incorrectly. Make sure batteries are hooked up correctly. 1. Place terminal covers (7) and terminal lugs (4) on battery. Secure with screws (6) and nuts (5). 2. Place jumper lead (3) on terminal lugs (4). Secure with two screws (2) and nuts (1). 3. Install circuit 6N lead (8) or 6P lead (9) as follows: a. Install new grommet (10) in battery box. Route lead 6N (8) or 6P (9) through grommet into battery box. b. Place lead (8) or (9) on terminal lugs (4) and secure with screw (11) and nut (12). c. Secure leads 6N (8) and 6P (9) with new tiedown strap (13). 4. Coat tops of four battery terminal lugs with grease. 0344 00-4
