Once the end connector is installed half way on the inside of the track assembly, remove the track fixture and track alignment tool. Finish installing the end connector all the way on the track shoe pins until it touches the track shoe body. WARNING Not getting the bolt tight enough may result in death to personnel and damage to equipment if the end connectors fall off during movement of the vehicle. Use the wrench extension over the breaker bar to achieve more leverage when tightening the end connector bolt. NOTE Mark the location of the end connectors so unit maintenance can torque them properly. Take the vehicle to unit maintenance as soon as possible to have the end connector bolts torqued to the proper value. 9. Secure both end connector bolts using the breaker bar and extension wrench to get enough torque until you can get it to unit maintenance to torque it properly. Mark the end connectors you have loosened and retightened so unit maintenance can tighten to the right torque value. Fill out DA form 2404 or DA 5988-E to notify unit maintenance. 10. ADJUST TRACK TENSION for (T150) track. See task WP 0091 01. END OF TASK Change 2 NOTE Move vehicle far enough to position end connectors that need to be tightened on top.
