TM 9-2350-277-10 OPERATE ENGINE COOLANT HEATER (BELOW –25 F (–31 C)) — Continued 0062 00 5. Move RUN-OFF-START switch to RUN as soon as indicator light comes on. Do not stopin OFF position. 6. If coolant heater does not start, repeat Step 4 and Step 5. If coolant heater does not start after three tries, troubleshoot heater (WP 0089 00). NOTE Coolant heater always starts at low heat. It switches to high heat if HI-LO switch is set to HI. 7. Move HI-LO switch to HI or LO. NOTE When HI-LO switch is at HI, heater will automatically go to low heat if coolant temperature reaches 190 F (88 C). It will go back to high heat if coolant temperature drops to 120 F (49 C). If coolant reaches a temperature of 245 F to 260 F (118 to 126 C), heater will stop and must be restarted. 0062 00-3
