Level B and A deprocessing procedures are given in the following table. Level B deprocessing is performed when the carrier has been in storage for less than 90 days. Level A deprocessing is performed, in addition to Level B deprocessing, when the carrier has been in storage for more than 90 days. 0013 00-1 Install cables on battery. See your -20. Battery cables Hull SERVICE UPON RECEIPT (1) Remove shipping tape from filler caps. (2) Add electrolyte and charge batteries. See TM 9-6140-200-14. Carrier batteries LOCATION Hull ITEM ACTION Install power plant access panels. REMARKS Power plant access panels Engine LEVEL B Remove caps and plugs from all openings to engine that vent outside. Caps and plugs Engine Hull Driver’s hatch Remove shipping tape from oil filter cap. Oil filter cap Engine Remove shipping tape from oil level gauge rod opening. Oil level gauge Engine Remove shipping tape from crankcase breather. R emove welded n ut/bolt from driver ’s h atch to gain carrier en try. Crankcase Engine Engine (1) Connect fuel lines at quick disconnect. (2) Connect fuel supply tubing. Fuel lines Engine air intake Engine (1) Remove air restrictor plug from air duct at air filter. (2) Connect filter hose to air filter. (3) Remove warning tag.
