INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanics Tool Kit (WP 0780 00, Item 29) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Locknut (10) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) REMOVAL C A U T I O N Handle windshield carefully to avoid damage to windows. Do not fold windshield after use in extreme cold; windows will crack. Warm cold windshield slowly before folding for stowage. 1. Lift windshield (1) out of five brackets (2). 2. Remove five locknuts (3) and outside screws (toward hatch) (4) from driver’s hatch periscope guards (5). Discard locknuts. 3. Remove five locknuts (3), and inside screws (away from hatch) (6), five brackets (2), and plates (7) from driver’s hatch periscope guards (5). Discard locknuts. 0624 00-1
